Five to seven pallets per week are shipped from the vendor in Wisconsin to the OEM in Connecticut. Empty boxes come back with the same carrier.
The latches have been used for over five years; most of the boxes last for two. Savings for the OEM have been in the tens of thousands of dollars. This closed loop box reuse system was so successful that it was implemented with a second vendor in NY.
