Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council’s Earth Day Sustainable Product of the Year
In April of 2016, Eco-Latch Systems, LLC, the maker of Box Latch™ Products, was awarded the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council’s Earth Day Sustainable Product of the Year in the Small Business Category.
It has been stated and well accepted that 90% of all boxes are used just once and that recycling corrugate to produce new boxes requires 64% of the water and energy required to produce a new one. As lovers of the great outdoors, environmental sustainability was a driving force as we developed our products. Our goal from day one has been to invent, patent, and produce products in the USA that reduce the common practice and acceptance of single box use.
With that in mind, each product has been designed to increase corrugate box Re-Use with, as much as possible, a recycled ABS plastic product that can be recycled again when no longer in use.
